The unit is a task, with subtasks to seven levels, Epics, and custom task types and statuses.^[2]
More than fifteen view types are offered: list, board, Gantt, calendar, table, whiteboards, mind maps, canvas, map, portfolios, workload, box and activity.^[4]
Custom fields include dropdowns, currency, text and AI-filled fields.^[2]
Bulk editing is available through the Table view.^[4]
Free is $0 with 60 MB of storage, unlimited tasks, unlimited members and guests, 5 Spaces, 1 Form and 100 automation executions a month, with the basic custom field manager only. Gantt, timeline, dashboards and proofing are trial-only, not in Free.^[1]
Unlimited is $10 per user per month billed monthly and $7 billed annually. Business is $19 monthly and $12 annually. Enterprise is a custom price.^[1]
Automation is a no-code builder with an AI variant, capped at 100 executions a month on Free, 1,000 on Unlimited, 5,000 on Business and 250,000 on Enterprise.^[3]

The difference, line by line

Pealboard	ClickUp

What was not verified

These are gaps in the research, not findings about ClickUp. They are here because a comparison that prints only what was confirmed reads as though the rest was checked and found wanting.

Whether ClickUp has a command palette or keyboard shortcuts. The research checked three ways and found no mention, and recorded that as a possible real gap rather than a confirmed absence.
ClickUp’s import and export. The dedicated pages returned 403, most likely to an automated fetch rather than to a person.
Which tier Enterprise Search belongs to. The feature page implies a higher tier without stating one.

Fewer features is the product

Pealboard has no whiteboards, no mind maps, no docs, no goals module, no time tracking and no Gantt chart, and none of them is on a roadmap.

Every one of those would be data GitHub does not hold, which would make Pealboard a place where some of the work lives — and the moment that is true, canceling stops being free, engineers start needing accounts, and the three claims this product rests on stop being true. A tool that stores nothing has to be small.
