What you pay for
Workspace members with the owner, admin ormember role. When your membership changes, your bill updates and Stripe prorates the difference.
What’s always free
- Viewers. Add as many read-only people as you like.
- Portal customers and companies, on every plan, at any number.
- Engineers. They work in GitHub and never sign into Pealboard, so they’re never counted.
What Business adds
These three features are coming in v1.1 and don’t ship today. We list them here so you know what the Business price is for.

There’s no SAML at launch, and no Enterprise tier.
Common questions
- Who counts as a billable member?
- Owners, admins and members. Viewers don’t count, so you can add read-only people for free. Portal customers and companies never count, on any plan. Engineers who work in GitHub and never sign into Pealboard don’t count either.
- Are portal customers ever billed?
- No. Every plan, including Free, includes unlimited portal customers and companies. None of them is ever counted or charged.
- Is there a trial, and does it need a card?
- Every workspace starts on Free. You can try Team for 14 days with no card. When the trial ends, you go back to Free unless you added a card.
- What happens if a payment fails?
- Nobody gets locked out and nothing is deleted. You can still read every issue, request and view, but you can’t make changes until billing is up to date. A banner tells you why. Portals stay up for reading, and customers can’t send new requests until it’s fixed.
- How does the annual price work?
- Annual is 20% less per member per month, billed once for the year: $96 per member for Team and $192 for Business. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time. Stripe prorates the difference.
- Is there an Enterprise plan?
- No. There are three plans, and every price is on this page. Business will include portal single sign-on (JWT), audit log export and custom portal domains when they ship in v1.1. There’s no SAML.
- What happens to our data if we cancel?
- Nothing you need to do. Every issue, comment, label, milestone and project field was in GitHub the whole time and stays right there. What Pealboard holds, like portals, requests, customers and saved views, stays until you delete the workspace.
