These terms are the agreement between Mersoft Corporation (“Mersoft”, “we”,
“us”) and the person or organization that creates a Pealboard workspace (“you”,
“the customer”). They cover the Pealboard service at pealboard.com,
app.pealboard.com, api.pealboard.com, mcp.pealboard.com and every portal
subdomain of pealboard.com.
You accept these terms by creating an account or a workspace, or by using the service.
1. What the service is
Pealboard is a second interface onto an organization’s GitHub Issues and GitHub Projects, and a set of portals through which people without a GitHub account can submit and follow requests that become GitHub issues.
GitHub is the system of record. Every issue, comment, label, milestone, project and project field value Pealboard shows exists in GitHub first, in repositories you control through a GitHub App installation you granted. Pealboard stores a copy for reading and stores the things GitHub cannot hold: portal identity, per-request visibility, saved views, notifications, attachments and billing records.
Pealboard is not a replacement for GitHub, is not a help desk, and does not provide a workflow engine.
2. Accounts and workspaces
You must be able to form a binding contract to use Pealboard. The service is not offered to anyone under 16.
A workspace is the unit of account. The person who creates it holds the
owner role and is responsible for the workspace, including its bill and
everything its members do in it. The owner may add members with the roles
admin, member and viewer.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secret, for revoking API keys you no longer control, and for removing members who should no longer have access.
3. Your GitHub connection
To use Pealboard you install the Pealboard GitHub App on a GitHub organization or user account and choose which repositories it covers. You represent that you are entitled to do so.
The App requests read and write access to issues, read access to repository metadata and pull requests, read and write access to organization projects, and read access to organization members. It does not request access to code, repository contents, GitHub Actions or secrets, and it does not clone your repositories.
You may change the repositories, or uninstall the App, at any time on GitHub. Uninstalling ends Pealboard’s ability to read or write anything in GitHub immediately, and does not delete your workspace.
Your use of GitHub is governed by your agreement with GitHub, Inc., not by these terms. GitHub is not a party to this agreement.
4. Your content
You keep every right you have in the issues, comments, project data, portal requests, attachments and other material you or your customers put into or through Pealboard (“your content”). We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us only the license we need to run the service: to store, copy, transmit, display and process your content for the purpose of providing Pealboard to you, and to write into GitHub the issues and comments you or your portal customers ask us to write.
You are responsible for your content being lawful and for having the right to process the personal data of the customers you invite into a portal. Where we process personal data on your behalf, the data processing addendum applies and forms part of this agreement.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Pealboard to:
- break any law that applies to you or to us;
- store or transmit malware, or material that infringes someone else’s rights;
- send unsolicited bulk messages through portal invitations or notifications;
- probe, scan or test the security of the service except by reporting a
vulnerability to
security@pealboard.com; - interfere with the service’s operation, or evade a limit, rate limit or authorization check;
- resell the service, or provide it to a third party as your own product, without a separate written agreement.
We may suspend a workspace that is doing one of these things. Where the circumstances allow it, we will tell you first, and we will tell you what we suspended and why.
6. Portals and the people who use them
A portal is your surface. You choose its name, its logo, its access mode, its request types and their destinations, and what is visible to whom.
You are responsible for what your portal customers submit and for what your members publish to them. We are the processor for the personal data of your portal customers; you are the controller. See the data processing addendum.
Portal customers are not our customers and are not billed by us, on any plan, at any number.
7. Plans, prices and payment
Prices are on the pricing page and are in US dollars.
What is billed. A workspace is billed for its billable members: the
owner, admin and member roles. The viewer role is not billed. Portal
customers and companies are not billed. People who work in GitHub and never
sign into Pealboard are not billed.
How the quantity is set. The billable count is recalculated after any membership change and sent to Stripe, which prorates the difference on the next invoice.
Trial. A workspace may take a 14-day trial of the Team plan without a payment card. At the end of the trial the workspace returns to the Free plan unless a card has been added, and the Free plan’s limits apply again.
Taxes. Prices exclude sales tax, VAT and similar taxes. Where we are required to collect one, it is added at checkout.
Failure to pay. If a subscription lapses, writes are refused and reads continue. Your workspace stays visible and nothing is deleted; issues, requests and views can be read, and creating or changing anything is refused until the account is in good standing. Portals keep serving read access.
Refunds. We do not offer refunds for a period already served. You may cancel at any time and the workspace returns to Free at the end of the paid period.
Price changes. We may change prices. A change is announced at least 30 days before it applies to you, by email to the workspace owner and on the changelog. A change never applies to a period already paid for.
8. Availability and support
We aim to keep Pealboard available and we do not offer a service level agreement, an uptime commitment or a support response time. If that is a requirement for you, Pealboard does not meet it today.

9. Security
Our security posture is described at /security and is accurate at the date on this page.
We hold no security certification. There is no SOC 2 report, no ISO 27001 certificate and no third-party penetration test. Nothing in this agreement, on this site, or in any material we publish should be read as claiming one.
We will notify the workspace owner without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting their data, and in any event as required by the data processing addendum.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Pealboard at any time. Cancel in the billing settings, and delete the workspace when you want the data we hold removed.
We may suspend or terminate a workspace for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment beyond the lapse period, or where the law requires it. Except where the law or a serious ongoing harm prevents it, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the problem.
On termination, we delete the workspace and everything Pealboard holds for it: portals, requests, customers, companies, saved views, notification history, attachments and API keys, within 30 days.
Nothing in GitHub is deleted. Every issue, comment, label, milestone and project field value is GitHub’s and remains exactly where it is. There is nothing to export from Pealboard to recover your work, because your work never left GitHub.
11. Warranties and disclaimers
We provide Pealboard as it is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not warrant the availability, behavior or content of GitHub, which is a third-party service outside our control.
Nothing in this section limits a right you have under a law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, however caused.
- Our total liability arising out of or relating to this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$100 if you paid us nothing.
These limits do not apply to a party’s liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, from your use of the service in breach of these terms, or from your handling of your portal customers’ personal data in breach of the law. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defence.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. A material change is announced at least 30 days before it takes effect, on the changelog and by email to every workspace owner. Continuing to use Pealboard after the change takes effect is acceptance of it; if you do not accept it, cancel before then.
15. General
Assignment. You may not assign this agreement without our written consent. We may assign it to a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, on notice to you.
Entire agreement. These terms, the privacy policy and the data processing addendum are the whole agreement between us about Pealboard and replace anything said before.
Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
No waiver. Not enforcing a provision once does not waive it.
Governing law. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court with jurisdiction.
Notices. We send notices to the workspace owner’s email address. Send
notices to us at hello@pealboard.com.
