Delete the workspace
const url = 'https://api.pealboard.com/v1/workspaces/2489E9AD-2EE2-8E00-8EC9-32D5F69181C0';const options = {method: 'DELETE', headers: {Authorization: 'Bearer <token>'}};
try { const response = await fetch(url, options); const data = await response.json(); console.log(data);} catch (error) { console.error(error);}curl --request DELETE \ --url https://api.pealboard.com/v1/workspaces/2489E9AD-2EE2-8E00-8EC9-32D5F69181C0 \ --header 'Authorization: Bearer <token>'Deletes the workspace and everything in it: portals, requests, companies, customers, views, saved filters, notifications, API keys, the audit log, and the cache of issues, comments, projects and labels. In one transaction, so a failure part-way through leaves the workspace as it was.
The workspace’s own id is in the path, which every other route in this family takes from X-Workspace-Id. That is deliberate and it is the only safety this route can offer: a destructive request should not be able to hit the wrong workspace because a header was stale, and the id being wrong is a 404 rather than a deletion.
Refused while a Stripe subscription is active or past due, so nobody deletes a workspace and keeps being charged for it. Cancel the subscription from POST /v1/billing/portal first. A trial is cancelled here, because it costs nothing and there is nothing to cancel in Stripe.
The GitHub installation is unbound and never uninstalled. The installation belongs to the GitHub account, and removing it is done from that account’s settings; what this does is stop Pealboard using it. Nothing in GitHub changes: the issues, the comments and the projects are the repository’s and stay exactly as they are, including the attribution Pealboard wrote into them.
Access. Requires the owner. Deleting a workspace ends it for every member and every customer of every portal in it, and only the person who owns the bill may do that. API-key scope: workspace:write.
Billing. This still works when the workspace has lapsed. Leaving is not a thing a workspace can be held to a card for, and a lapsed workspace is the one most likely to want to.
