Create a workspace
A workspace is the tenant. One workspace is connected to one GitHub organization or one GitHub user account. It holds your members, your portals, your saved views and your subscription.
You can belong to several workspaces with one account, and switching between them is a menu in the sidebar head.
Create it
Section titled “Create it”- On Create a workspace, fill in Workspace name.
- Select Create workspace.
Use the name your colleagues would use for the organization, not a project name. A workspace covers every repository you connect, so a name like “Acme” ages better than “Acme mobile app”.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”The account that creates a workspace holds the owner role in it. The owner is the only role that can change billing or delete the workspace. Everything else — members, portals, the GitHub connection, views — is available to an admin as well.
Renaming or deleting
Section titled “Renaming or deleting”Rename it in Settings → Workspace. Deleting it is at the bottom of the same page under Delete workspace; the consequence is stated there in one sentence. Deleting a workspace deletes portals, requests, customers, saved views and notification history. It does not delete anything in GitHub: the issues, comments, labels, milestones and projects are GitHub’s and are left exactly as they are.
