Invitations

  1. Go to Settings → Members.
  2. Select Invite member.
  3. Fill in Email and choose a Role.
  4. Select Invite member.

Pealboard sends an invitation email. The row shows Invited until it is accepted. An invitation is valid for seven days. Resending and withdrawing an invitation are not available yet; until then this list holds only the invitations sent from this screen in this session.

An invitation is to this workspace only. The person may already have a Pealboard account from another workspace; accepting adds this workspace to their account rather than creating a second one.

Change Role on the member’s row in Settings → Members. The change takes effect on their next request; they do not have to sign out.

Moving someone between owner, admin and member does not change the bill — all three are billable. Moving someone to or from viewer does: viewers are not counted.

Select Remove member on their row. They lose access to this workspace immediately and their sessions for it stop working. Nothing they wrote is deleted: their issues and comments are in GitHub and belong to the repository, and their saved views stay in the workspace.

The billable count is recounted from the database after any membership change and sent to Stripe, which prorates the difference on the next invoice. There is no seat to buy in advance and no seat left paid for after someone leaves.

Invitations to a portal are a different thing

Section titled “Invitations to a portal are a different thing”

Inviting a customer into a portal is not a workspace invitation, does not create a member, and is never billed. See Companies and customers.
